WHAT IS BARK?Founded in 2002, BARK is a British Columbia registered non-profit collective of designers + businesses committed to raising the profile of Canadian design and ingenuity internationally, as well as here in Canada, for the benefit of all Canadians.Recognizing that Canada is being short-changed by the widespread, limited stereotypes of what our country is and has to offer – maple syrup, raw logs, and handsome Mounties, BARK’s Founders dedicated themselves to expanding those perceptions by showcasing Canada’s innovative design talent.BARK develops unique projects that introduce the world to a broader and more accurate display of Canadian culture thereby creating new economic opportunities for Canadian individuals and businesses of all sizes.Ultimately, the goal is to contribute to a stronger, more competitive Canadian design industry, and consequently a stronger, more competitive Canada.
